Cloudbusting entered the UK chart in the second week of its release at #26.  It peaked at #20 one week later, on November 2, 1985.  It held that position for two weeks, and spent a total of six weeks on the chart.
The A-side title refers to a rain-making machine (the "Cloudbuster") developed by Wilhelm Reich (Peter's father), a brilliant psycho-analyst who was eventually imprisoned for his radical ideas.
The UK 12" EP also includes two additional non-LP tracks: an extended version of Cloudbusting (called the Organon Remix) and My Lagan Love.
The US 12" EP includes the same extended version of Cloudbusting, but it's called the Meteorological Mix.
First pressings have paper labels on the disc and "For Peeps" etched into the dead wax on side A.  ("Peeps" is Peter Reich's nickname.)
