Highest chart position:  It didn't.  King Of The Mountain (Live) was released on iTunes shortly after its radio debut on October 21st (as noted below).  No physical commercially issued single exists.  But since it was made available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon, it technically counts as an official single release. 
A live verion of Prologue showed up on Soundcloud a few weeks earlier (on September 29) -- giving everyone their first taste of the forthcoming Before The Dawn live set -- but since it was never made available for purchase, Prologue doesn't count as an offical single release.
Five minute edited versions of the song were released to radio stations by Fish People, but physical promo copies have not surfaced yet.

What it's about: A lament about the loneliness and the loss of innocence and anonymity one suffers when they become famous.

King Of The Mountain (Live) was Kate's first single since the 2012 "remix" of Running Up That Hill.  It was the closing song of the first act from her landmark 2014 Before The Dawn live concert appearances at the Eventim Appolo in Hammersmith.
UK fans were treated to a :40 second preview during Ken Bruce's show on BBC Radio 2 at 11:00AM (GMT) on October 20th.  Shaun Keaveny and Matt Everitt debuted the full track at 7:40AM (GMT) on BBC6Music on October 21.  It was released to iTunes worldwide shortly after the radio program.
