Rocket Man entered the UK chart in the third week of its release at #13.  It peaked at #12 one week later, on December 14, 1991.  It held that position for one week, and spent a total of eight weeks on the chart.
A huge fan from the age of 11, Kate chose to record Rocket Man for the Elton John/Bernie Taupin tribute album, Two Rooms. It was the first cover tune she released since Donovan's Lord Of The Reedy River in 1981.
Early pressings were wrapped in a limited edition 23"x15.5" poster featuring the picture sleeve photo on one side, and the image shown here on the other.
The UK 12" and UK CD single include an additional non-LP track, an instrumental version of Candle In The Wind.
The counter stand used by Mercury to promote the single in the UK is shown here.
